With the help of ferro-magnetic iron, you can largely control how the magnetic field should behave. For example, do you want a long magnetic field to pick from a distance, or a short, stronger magnetic field to fix/hold something in place.
If you have a magnet and then put an iron washer behind it, this washer (if thick enough) will block the magnetic field on the side it is on. This results in the magnet becoming stronger on the opposite side. The magnetic field is forced in one direction.
These constructions become so-called magnetic systems. In our workshop in Bromma, we have our own production where we build and create new fantastic magnet systems every day. Many are standard that we have as normal stock, but a large part of the production is special systems that are tailored and optimized for our customers. If you yourself have a problem that you think can be solved with the help of a magnet, do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you find the best solution!
Below you will see some examples of how to ferro-magnetic iron to improve a magnet's performance.
