The Chinese New Year of 2026 falls on Tuesday the 17th of February. Last year was the Year of the Snake, this year is the Year of the Horse. The Chinese New Year is considered the most important of all the traditional and modern holidays celebrated in China. Why is this relevant to HYAB Magneter?
The Chinese New Year is celebrated for a total of 15 consecutive days, from the new moon (17th of February) to the following full moon (3rd of March). This means that most workplaces temporarily cease operations or continue with severely limited capacity during these 15 days.
At HYAB, we are in close and continuous contact with our suppliers and have been informed that their respective operations will be limited during this period. In addition, this means that the customs authorities in China will have extremely limited activity, which in turn will lead to extended lead times for getting products out of China.
We therefore recommend that all our customers who have magnet needs during the first months of 2026 place their orders early to ensure that we can deliver their magnets on time.
