Magnet systems with a rubber jacket are real all-rounders and can be found in many areas. The systems are particularly suitable for use on sensitive surfaces, thin sheets or in a vertical application. They are also suitable for outdoor use.
These articles have a special rubber coating made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer). No scratches or discoloration occur on the surface. Thanks to the rubber coating, the displacement forces and corrosion resistance are also higher. A small side effect is the noise-reducing effect when mounting them. Inside, there are strong neodymium magnets which, due to their arrangement and in combination with the metal element inside, generate a large and strong magnetic field.
The stated forces have been determined at room temperature on a plate in polished steel (S235JR according to DIN 10 025) with a thickness of 10 mm (1kg ~ 10N). A maximum deviation of -10% compared to the specified value is possible in exceptional cases. Value is exceeded in general. Depending on the type of application (installation situation, temperatures, counter anchor etc.) the forces can be influenced enormously. The indicated values are serving as an orientation.
